trip

Road Trip!!!!

Packed the kids up and left for two weeks. Driving to Wisconsin from Arizona. Fun, huh. We left at 10:30 pm on Thursday June 28 and drive all night and all the next day. We went through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. We stopped in Wicita Kansas for thr night. Next day we finished Kansas, Iowa and stopped in Albert Lea, Minnesota. The next day we finished our trip for a week at Grandma's house. First couple of days were fine, had fun, saw fireworks on the 4th, saw my wifes family and such. Thursday, one week into the trip. Our dog runs into my three year old and breaks his leg. So night in the hospital. Small town, one orthopedic guy that goes to all the hospitals, and his round were not until Friday afternoon. So kept overnight, in pain. We had a family reunion golf outing Friday that we didn't make. So finally the cast is put on and home to Grandmas. We were planning on going over top South Dakota and Seeing Mt. Rushmore, but that got changed as well. So we left on Monday July 9 and went to Minnesota, wher we had grinding Brakes. So an hour or so at Sears having new brakes put on later, we left again. We made it through Iowa, and over to Nebraska. Stopped in York, Nebraska. Next day kept west, stopped at the archway monument and made it to Ft. Something or other Colorado where we stopped for the night. Next day, more driving, this time through Colorado to New Mexico and stopping in Gallup, New Mexico on Route 66. Next day we come home, but first I was stopped for speeding. Only got a warning though. Ooopps! Made it home though. Could have done without the broken leg, but we made it and survived, and it was kind of fun.

Off to night night land

Alice

OK, I live in the Phoenix area. I remember the show "Alice" took place in Phoenix. If so, Where the heck would Mel's Diner be located? Also, did the show ever relate how freaking hot it get in the summer? Don't really thing so. Flo can kiss my grits. And the other waitress, the ditzy one what was her name. That did it, I'm darned to heck now. Vera, that's her name. I remembered, is that a good or bad thing? And the phone guy, was he a Quest or Cox guy? The world may never know. I'll have a patty melt with fries.....

money pit

OK, the wife buys a camper. Great price, its good, lets get it. OK I say. Probably wouldn't have made a difference if I has said no, she would have gotten it anyway. Lets hook the trailer hitch onto the car. Easy the package says. UH huh, easy for who. Not me. Finally called a trailer place to put it on, and it took them four hours to get it all done. So four hours for a professional would have been never in regular people terms. Now to the wiring. Running lights and such. Finally go it, but now I hooked up the wires wrong, crating a loop to the brake lights. Thus frying the fuse whenever applying the brakes. Fixed that after about 5 fuses. Duh. How much more money and time will this suck up.

new guy

Hi all,
A 39 yr old guy here, married two boys 6 and 3. Just wanted a place to vent and maybe pass on a humerous piece or two. Almost the big 40. Yikes. Where does life go. Just yesterday I was in High School. Now, live is different. Just have to trust God to lead us and guide us through it all. More later! Thanks and peace.
